The great joy we shared was that EDYN eventually got the information that our application for the Central grant for 2010 was accepted in an answer from the Commission, and on Tuesday 6.th of April we could announce the great news on the EDYN Yahoo groups. This gives us stability for our actions, our budget and our staff in the present year.
We officially on our General Assembly 5.th of May on behalf of EDYN accepted the year report and the closing of books for 2009, it is now all signed and published on our website as the Hungarian law demands. Still, what will internally count as the closing of the finances 2009 is when the Membership will vote on the acceptance of the financial report at the Annual Meeting in October 2010.
Plans have now been made to find a better solution for the book keeping of EDYN. A new accountant will be found, a new system for the budget too and we look forward to be able to follow our finances closer month by month.
We also found time to plan ahead for the coming 3 years as a preparation for the grant application 2011, where we now may apply for a 3-year grant. The board had a brainstorming on the basis of our vision and strategic goals and came up with suggestions, questions and issues for four strategic areas of Volunteers. Placements, Members and EDYN office/central management.
New PR materials has been prepared and are now in the last stage before being printed: Pamphlets, Roll up posters, Calendars, Stationary, Envelopes, Door signs, Brochures and Name cards. Everything is prepared for in a slightly new design, according to the new webpage. At the annual meeting you will see it all.
Members support and new members. The board advised the ED in matters concerning members support, and also dealt with formal issues around applications from possible new members of EDYN

Elections
The board spent some time of planning the program and whole content of the annual meeting.
I will here draw the attention to the fact that at the annual meeting in 2010 there will be elections for the board. 3 present board members will be on election and I will strongly encourage new persons to nominate for this election. Please look for nominees and also ask if this it the time for you to nominate yourself?
Additionally the audit committee is on election and here we also need nominees for the positions.
