EDYN Process and Structure Standards

NON FORMAL EDUCATION
The EDYN exchange partners organise a non-formal education process based on the common learning objectives with phases of:

• preparation before departure
• orientation on arrival
• mid-term
• end of service in hosting country
• re-entry to home country

This process includes individual and group experiences.

SUPERVISION / MENTORING
There is personal supervision and mentoring of volunteers in placements by persons whom the EDYN member organisation prepares and supports

CONTACT SENDING AND HOSTING ORGANISATIONS
There is regular contact between representatives of the sending and hosting programmes in regard to the volunteers.

HEALTH, ACCIDENT AND PERSONAL LIABILITY
Volunteer's health, accident and personal liability coverage is arranged between the partners

WRITTEN AGREEMENT ON VOLUNTEER'S SERVICE
The sending and hosting organisations and the volunteer have a written agreement confirming the placement, duration of service, financial arrangements, etc. The placement's agreement to fulfilling the terms is part of the hosting member organisation's commitment to the sending organisation and the volunteer.
